Teaching Buddha pendant gold-plated
Harmony and serenity – the gracefulness of a 14th-century statue in a Hong Kong art gallery inspired us to create this pendant. The Buddha’s right hand forms the Vitarka mudra, a gesture in which the tips of the thumb and index finger meet in a circle. (Buddha sets the wheel of teachings in motion.) The other hand reaches out to the viewer. This sterling silver Buddha pendant is oxidized and then polished by hand to preserve the antique patina.
Pendant length: 27mm
Material: sterling silver gold-plated with 24-carat gold
Chain: 50cm anchor chain, 1.5mm wide, adjustable to 45cm
Cord: 50cm cotton cord, adjustable to 45 - 60cm
Choose between the Teaching Buddha pendant alone, on our sparkling 1.5mm anchor chain, or on a handcrafted dusky pink cord. Like the pendant, the chain is made of sterling silver gold-plated with lustrous 24-carat gold. The cord is twisted 108 times and accented with four small gold-plated beads and a lobster-claw clasp. Behind the hook and the elongated ring of the clasp are two special knots that can be used to adjust the cord to the perfect length.
